BECAUSE SPACE IS LIMITED, ROOMS WILL BE ASSIGNED ON A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE BASIS. THE DEADLINE FOR REQUESTING A ROOM AT THE SWING DORMS IS MAY 15, 2009.

ANYONE REQUESTING LODGING AT THE SWING DORMS AT YALE -- FUNDED OR NOT -- MUST USE THIS FORM TO MAKE A REQUEST FOR A ROOM.

Roommates:
The dorms are set up as a suite with two single bedrooms. If you already know who your roommate is, please enter his/her name and *all* other information, and submit one request for the two of you (i.e., no need for the roommate to make a request as well). If you don't already have a roommate, leave the roommate field blank, and you will be matched with someone of the same gender.

Confirmation:
Your request will be reviewed by Yale Conference Services, and you will be contacted via email by Yale Conference Services to confirm your reservation soon after May 15th so you can make alternative plans if you need to.

Payment:
If you are not funded by the PolMeth NSF grant, cost is $80/per night. Payments by check, drawn on a US bank, should be payable to Yale University (no credit cards) no later than *July 8, 2009*. Checks should be sent to:

If you are funded by the PolMeth NSF grant, you do not need to make payment (the grant will pay for your lodging for up to 4 nights). Note that the grant covers lodging at the Swing dorms only (not at any of the hotels).

Number of nights requested:
The program starts at 8:00am on Thursday July 23rd and ends with dinner Saturday July 25th. This means you should plan to arrive Wednesday July 22, 2009 and leave Sunday July 26, 2009.

The fully air-conditioned Swing building has approximately 100 two-bedroom suites available in the summer.  Each suite contains two single bedrooms, a furnished living room, kitchenette and bath.  In-suite telephone service is provided along with weekly linen and maid service.  In addition to the formal common room, the Swing building has two computer clusters, four seminar rooms, an exercise room, one large meeting room, TV room and laundry facility. A housing office is located in the building and is open for check-in seven days a week, 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Guests must check out by 3:00 PM on their scheduled departure date. If you will be checking in past 8:30 PM, arrangements for a late arrival will need to be made. Room assignments and keys will be distributed from the Housing Office.
