Participants in the 2001 Meeting arriving by plane will arrive at Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport. We recommend taking one of the many available shuttle services to the Emory campus. On arrival, participants should proceed to the Ground Transportation Center at the west end of the Baggage Claim area for shuttle pickup. Shuttles depart every 10-15 minutes, and cost $12-15 per passenger. Taxicab service to Emory costs roughly $40 one-way.
MARTA is the Atlanta train/bus service; train service from the airport to the Lindbergh MARTA Station is available at the Airport MARTA Station, located near the baggage claim area of the airport. A $1.50 MARTA token will allow a visitor to take the MARTA train north to the Lindbergh station, then transfer to the #6 MARTA busline, which runs directly through Emory's campus.
Meeting participants interested in driving to the meeting should follow the directions provided by the Emory University visitors' service. If you plan on driving, please contact us so that we can arrange for parking at the Woodruff Center.
Emory's campus is relatively compact, and most participants will find it easy to walk between the various meeting locations. Participants wishing to rent a car should also contact the organizers, so that arrangements can be made for parking.
